David Derr Digital Works Gallery
David Derr's digital works seen here span from 2000 through the present. Many of these pieces incorporate photographs taken by Mr. Derr and some of the textures were created by using lo-res images from the internet, re-colorizing them and using a variety of photoshop filters in innovative ways. The "Invention Series" uses JPL photos from the Mars Spirit and Opportunity landers as well as images from scanning electron microscopes. They show a unique view of the universe from both a real and imagined perspective. Contemporary artist David Derr's digital works have been exhibited around the world including Stuttgart (Germany), Prague (The Czech Republic), London (UK), Paris (France), and San Sebastian (Spain).
Some of the digital paintings have written descriptions (*) which can be found at The Art(ist) section and if you want to own a piece go to the Purchase section of this site and click on the link to Fine Art America for prints and canvases, Zazzle or Cafe Press for t-shirts and other interesting items.
